Apple BBQ Pulled Turkey

This was my "Bye Winter/Hello Spring" meal.

Made it up on the fly & it was freaking delicious.

Very good, easy & Paleo. What more can you ask?


  • Serving: 4 servings
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 hours


  • 1 organic Turkey leg/breast combination
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 5 small apples cored
  • 1 large red onion quartered
  • 2 small shallots
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Pink Himalayan sea salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper


  • Add paste and honey to saucepan mixing well heating slowly. Once combined add to top of turkey using a spoon or brush. Save remaining BBQ sauce.
  • Place apples, shallots & onions in crock-pot or dutch oven. Add meat on top with salt and pepper.
  • Next add vinegar to mixture. Break cinnamon stick and place on BBQ covered turkey.
  • Set for 10 hours on low. Do not add water.
  • When done mash apple, shallot & onion with hand masher after removing liquid.
  • Using a fork shred the turkey mixing with mash anding additional BBQ sauce if desired.

Yes folks I have a honey addiction.

It used to be jars upon jars of honey. Now we have no longer maintained that level of addiction, but having honey in my diet often is not a good look for this body.

Yearly after the holiday honey feast I do a detox.  This year and probably next it is a Whole Life Challenge which means my lifestyle is clean and mean right now. However I still like to have an after dinner treat no matter how much I detox.

Here is my latest "go-to" treat that is sweet with nothing added beyond what mother nature puts in the fruit.

Simple and fun to make for the whole damn family. I like to set up a topping bar and let everyone have fun creating their favorite treats:


Apple Ahoy!

  • Serves 4
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes



  • Line tray with parchment paper.
  • Slice apples and set on trays.
  • Set up desired toppings in bowls.
  • Melt oil and chocolate together.
  • Drizzle melted mixture over apples adding desired toppings.
  • Place in refrigerator for minimum of 20 minutes and enjoy.

1st I am all bent out of shape mourning the loss of the chaos knows as MS and now I was 'publicly stoned' via social media in a private MS group I went to for support!

Literally! #WTF

that live with disease of any kind are not happy when they hear that I have healed using food & movement as medicine! #ohHELLno

Can you fucking imagine that?  You tell people the power to heal is in their hands, costs virtually nothing, will save you money and it is accessible to everyone and they get mad!

#ohitgetswild I tell you!



They hear, "You gave yourself ________ and continue with every bite so its your fault asshole!"

Which BTFucking way is exactly what big pharm, big business and even Uncle Subsidized Sam want you to hear! #itsworking

Rather what I am saying is, "Wow did you ever consider the cultural norms in your life and how this translates in your life?  #fuckingbrilliant

Ownership PEOPLE!

Life is about ownership and my healing is 100% based on accountability for MY LIFE!  Yup people I own 100% of my life and this shit is hard!

The minute I stop owning my shit my body be like "Yo biatch we ain't working if you be tweking!"  #partofmycharm

How about we all sit down and have a conversation or 2 with ourselves and ask some simple questions????

Who said breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Why do we eat pancakes at breakfast and not dinner?

Why do we go to learn in a classroom?  Why are we separated by grades?

Why do we eat food ridden with chemicals?

How did we get Gluten?

Who said healthcare is about symptom management only with little to no regard for the reason?

I am learning every step of the way and the community of conscious living is growing.  #YIPPEE

No matter how many people I piss off this #BOSS Lady will not stop until she no longer sees posts like this titled: BREAKFAST


and replaces them with this: ENERGY, FUEL, SELF-RESPECT:
